Neighbours, tomorrow (30th) is SASSA pensioners payday so that means many of our most vulnerable and unfortunate folk will be out to collect their payment and then go and do their essential shopping – many of these people live hand to mouth.
It would be considerate for us to all avoid town/the shops both Mon & Tue this week for 2 reasons:
- Give our elderly folk clear access to shops without having to compete unnecessarily
- The nature of these 2 days will inevitably make both days higher risk for spread of the virus, so by staying away, you help protect yourself and the community at large. If you do have to go to the shops, make sure to sanitize extra carefully and often.
