Alarm back-up batteries are not designed to withstand frequent draining and recharging cycles and may not be able to fully recharge during the short intervals between power outages. This will impact the overall capabilities of your battery to support your system during load-shedding.Β
There are several options available to extend back-up power to your alarm. Options include Booster Charger, Heavy-duty battery, car battery etc. For more information on what will best suit your alarm system, please contact our Technical Department on 044 382 5589 or service@allsound.co.za

Alarm systems with compromised batteries could send βFalse Alarms & Panic Signalsβ as the battery runs flat. These false signals place unnecessary strain on Control Rooms and Response Teams and could cause unnecessary delays to genuine emergencies.Β
You can assist by notifying our Control Room of false activations to cancel response to the signal. If you do not already have a password assigned to cancel accidental or false activations, please contact support@allsound.co.za to set up a password.
