We count ourselves fortunate to have enjoyed several weeks of very low activity in our area, even over the busy festive season.
For a few months now we have enjoyed very low incident stats, while crime stats in other areas of Knysna have not followed our pattern.

Continue to report any suspicious persons or behaviour in our area so that we can keep a watchful eye as necessary.
We continue to improve our CCTV network.
Funds have come through steadily from member renewals, and so we will be installing more new cameras very soon
At the same time, we are going to be piloting some new software innovation on one of our existing CCTV sites.
If this new technology works as we hope, it will greatly enhance the efficiency of our overall network.
After the pilot test, assuming good results, we will be looking to apply it to most of our other existing camera sites.
There is a capital cost for this enhancement, so we are budgeting toward it already.
